Course Synopsis:
This comprehensive Pediatric Endodontics lecture is designed to equip dental professionals with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to manage endodontic challenges in children and adolescents. The lecture integrates patient psychology, accurate diagnosis, and evidence-based treatment protocols for mature and immature permanent teeth. Emphasis will be placed on selecting the most appropriate interventions—from vital pulp therapy to advanced regenerative techniques. Through case-based the learners will gain practical expertise to deliver optimal endodontic care for young patients while fostering trust, comfort, and long-term oral health.
By the end of this course, participants will be able to:
- Demonstrate effective communication and behavioral management strategies tailored to pediatric patients, ensuring a positive and cooperative dental experience.
- Accurately diagnose pulpal and periapical conditions in young permanent teeth through clinical examination, radiographic interpretation, and pulp sensibility testing.
- Evaluate and apply appropriate treatment modalities—including vital pulp therapy, maturo genesis, revascularization, apexification, and root canal therapy—based on patient age, tooth development stage, and pulpal status.
